A two month jaunt through the heartland via the old U.S. Highway system. Swinging southward into the Mojave, Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts, then eastward to Tennessee and Kentucky for a month on the old family farm. Westbound, outrunning Midwestern storm systems, towards Hoover Dam and the Eastern Sierra’s, then homeward, north along the Pacific Coast.
